MEGAN MACQUARRIE

Meg MacQuarrie is a tenured floral stylist and urban gardener. While studying Fine Arts (Toronto School of Art) and Media Arts (Ryerson University), Meg paid her way as a "cater waiter". It was while working elaborate events for high-end clients, that she discovered the world of floral decor. This began a 15 year career as a large-scale event and wedding florist. Meg is just as comfortable crafting an elegant and understated tablescape as she is a whimsical floral wall installation. She has brought her green thumb and keen eye to projects for Holt Renfrew, Paloma Blanca and RBC. Meg is a multi-faceted floral designer with a comprehensive knowledge of flowers and plants, their sourcing, conditioning and specific requirements. Her diverse background in fine art, styling and horticulture informs her creative and unique approach to every project. Meg shines in collaborative relationships and loves coming together with a team to create extraordinary images and environments. When not at work, she can be found growing strange and wonderful varieties of vegetables on the roof of her Leslieville home.
